Our client is a one of listed public companies in construction’s industry in Thailand. Our client has long establishment with more than 50 years and has strong partnership with world’s leading construction company.
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Managing Director to lead our construction operations. The successful candidate will oversee the Project Director, Senior Manager Construction, and Safety Manager, ensuring the effective execution of projects, adherence to safety standards, and achievement of business goals. Reporting to the Group CEO and working closely with the Deputy CEO, CFO, and COO, the Managing Director will play a crucial role in strategic planning, resource allocation, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Additionally, the Managing Director will manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Provide visionary leadership to the Project Director, Senior Manager Construction, and Safety Manager.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture across all levels of the organization.
Mentor and develop direct reports, ensuring a pipeline of future leaders.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the company’s short-term and long-term goals.
Drive business growth through identification of new opportunities and markets.
Oversee the preparation and execution of comprehensive business plans.
Operational Oversight:
Ensure effective project management, timely completion, and adherence to budget.
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Oversee the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Promote a strong safety culture within the organization.
Oversee the implementation of safety programs and initiatives.
Financial Management:
Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Ensure profitability and cost-efficiency of all projects.
Manage risks and ensure the financial stability of the company.
Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the business.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
Represent the company in negotiations, industry events, and public forums.
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise with stakeholders.
Collaboration with Executive Leadership:
Report directly to the Group CEO.
Work closely with the Deputy CEO, CFO, and COO to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
Provide regular updates to the executive team on project status, financial performance, and strategic initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
Promote innovation and the adoption of new technologies within the organization.
Implement best practices in construction management and operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction management, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Fluent in English.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and manage complex operations.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial management.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
