Job Description:

Purpose of Function:

The Head of Sales & Service Safety is a member of the cross-functional Management Team in the country and contribute to the development of the country specific business strategy.

The Head of Sales & Service Safety directs and controls the sales function for the company to achieve agreed sales volumes and develops policies and procedures that will meet the objectives of the country’s sales & Service strategy.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The principle duties of the Head of Sales & Service include but are not limited to these roles:

  • Lead and manage all sales personnel responsible for Draeger’s customers within Thailand and support channel partners in Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos.

  • Develop company’s corporate strategy and support the implementation of long-term visions & goals

  • Create and implement suitable strategies to achieve both short- and long-term business growth plans as well as corporate objectives.

  • Monitor the performance of both direct and indirect sales channels and take remedial action where necessary to ensure that sales targets are met.

  • Develop and control budget for the sales function to ensure that all financial/ expense target is met and that all necessary financial controls are in place to comply with company and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure that the company’s maximum sales potential is realized.

  • Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure that the company maintains and develop its competitive position

  • Develop and implement a customer service strategy which provides short- and long-term customer satisfaction and meets corporate objectives

  • Organize customer service to ensure all quotations and customer support are carried out efficiently in collaboration with the operations function

  • Deploy the global CRM strategy and maintain the local CRM processes to ensure and optimal utilization of the system and a high level of data quality

  • Develop & Implement local Sales Channel partner strategies in accordance with regional and global strategies maximizing market coverage and sales efficiency

  • Manage and update the sales funnel regularly

  • Collate information about market trends and competitor intelligences for all products, market segment and customer areas and ensure good communication with local and regional marketing organization

  • Support the implementation of the marketing plan in close collaboration with the local/ regional marketing organization

  • Coordinate a budget/ business plan/ midterm planning in close collaboration and agreement with the country manager regarding net sales, expenses, global gross profit, and capital employed targets for sales within the company

  • Provide high quality sales and related data in order to ensure proper input for the financial rolling forecast

  • Manage proper follow up of DSO (Account Receivable)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree of Engineering

  • 15 years of work experience in Sales and 5 years in Management level with proven track record in sales

  • Excellent communication skills both Thai and English.

  • Analytical abilities and strategic thinking.

  • Ability to manage a team and Profit & Loss

  • Strong influencing, problem-solving and negotiation skills
