Job Description:

Our client is one of the top International Schools in Cambodia. They are now seeking an experienced CEO with a proven track record in running successful International Schools.


The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) works at the direction of the Board of Directors and Shareholders oversees the fiscal, educational, and operational areas of the upper and lower schools. The CEO is responsible for ensuring that the school's academic programs and operations are successful in improving school ranking/utilization ratings. Critical Responsibilities of the CEO


Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Board, Shareholders and Leadership Team to create, refine, and implement a comprehensive plan that develops a stable, sustainable organization for the success of the school.


  • Preserve and promote the vision, mission, core values, and culture of the school.


  • Recruit, manage, evaluate, provide thought leadership to, and inspire the leadership team including Heads and Assistant Heads of School.


  • Oversee all organizational operations including budgeting, accounting, human resources, contract management, facilities, and compliance.


  • Work with the Board of Directors and Shareholders to set economic objectives, financial and accounting policies.


  • Oversee income streams and provide direction for maintaining and seeking new funding sources for the organization.


  • Implement and instil best practices in education, instructional programs, and school operations.


  • Promote the success of all students and support the efforts of the Board to keep the Academy focused on learning and achievement.


  • Develop academic goals and performance benchmarks with instructional leaders.


  • Execute sound performance management to ensure student achievement gains are being realized and reaching top school rankings.


  • Build a high-performing, consistent, data-driven culture.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum Business/Commerce/Education Degree or Masters.


  • Excellent business acumen including financial management, personnel administration, vendor relations, and regulatory compliance.


  • Show a track record of improving school ranking and/or utilization ratings.


  • Led successful international schools with an excellent track record in driving change and commercial growth.


  • Exposure in dealing with Board of Directors and Shareholders.


  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and create a positive work environment.


  • Commitment to a culture of transparency, high expectations, and continuous improvement.


  • Experience recruiting, building, and retaining a strong, diverse team.


  • Superior presentation and communications skills, including the ability to be an effective spokesperson.


  • Capacity to work well with people at all levels within the organization and at key external agencies and organizations.


  • Preferably background in US curriculum but not a must.


  • Open to relocate.
