We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our client’s organization as the Head of Human Resources. Our client is one of the fast-growing retail companies. This is a newly created position that will be responsible for setting up and leading the HR function within our company. The successful candidate will work closely with external HR consultants and Managing Director to establish and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to support our growing workforce. As the Head of HR, you will play a critical role in attracting, developing, and retaining talent, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
HR Strategy and Planning
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
Establish HR policies, procedures, and programs to support the overall business strategy.
Conduct regular analysis of HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate solutions.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
Develop effective recruitment and talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent.
Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure the recruitment process is efficient and effective.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
Create and implement initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive work culture.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
Develop and execute employee engagement programs to enhance employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention.
Learning and Development
Collaborate with external consultants to design and deliver training programs that enhance employee skills and competencies.
Identify training needs and create a comprehensive learning and development plan to address skill gaps and promote career growth.
Support the implementation of performance management processes and tools to drive individual and team performance.
Compensation and Benefits
Collaborate with external consultants to develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs.
Conduct regular market analysis to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive.
Provide guidance on compensation matters, including salary reviews, promotions, and incentive programs.
Compliance and Legal
Stay up-to-date with relevant employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance within the organization.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and industry best practices.
Collaborate with legal counsel, as needed, to address complex employment-related matters.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Extensive experience in HR leadership roles, preferably in setting up HR functions.
Proven track record of successfully implementing HR programs and initiatives.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
