Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive accounting and reporting processes for the Payment business within the ASEAN region.

  • Collaborate closely with regional finance teams, local finance teams, and outsourced partners to promote standardization, enhance efficiency, and automate accounting and reporting procedures.

  • Address inquiries from external parties (e.g., vendors) and business stakeholders.

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the systems and procedures associated with Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL) processes.

  • Provide insightful analysis and perspective to the management team, offering recommendations and solutions to resolve emerging challenges.

  • Effectively communicate system-related issues to subject matter experts, ensuring the identification and implementation of solutions.

  • Ensure the preparation of local statutory financial reports and compliance with local tax regulations and accounting principles for Thailand and other ventures.

  • Foster close collaboration with operations, regional finance, and technical teams to ensure the seamless operation of accounting functions and the timely delivery of financial and accounting reports.

  • Support the implementation of new initiatives and projects within the Payment businesses, including assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and monitoring the financial implications post-launch.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and fulfill other management-assigned tasks.

  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders at various organizational levels and across departments throughout the region, as well as the shared service team.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or its equivalent.

  • Accumulate 5 to 8 years of experience in the accounting field, with a preference for relevant experience in e-money, banking, or pay-later services.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Exhibit a positive and results-oriented mindset, along with strong logical and analytical thinking abilities. Display exceptional teamwork, organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.

  • Possess a solid foundation in accounting principles, local tax regulations, and audit requirements, coupled with hands-on experience in a finance operational setting.

  • Demonstrate effective stakeholder management skills to engage with various business leaders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent command of written and spoken English.

  • Maintain a flexible and adaptable personality, willing to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
