We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our client's retail company. This is a newly created role, and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in business expansion and preparing the company for an initial public offering. The CFO will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and direction, as well as working closely with the CEO to drive growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's overall business objectives.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of financial reports.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, banks, and external auditors.
Lead the financial team, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet company and personal development goals.
Implement and maintain strong internal controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive growth opportunities.
Prepare the company for an initial public offering, including coordinating with external advisors and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, with experience in listed companies is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and corporate finance.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven experience in preparing and leading a company through an initial public offering is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
