Cell Processing Specialist

(Medical Devices)

This position, will be working in close alignment with APAC Field Application Scientist, is responsible for providing the technical expertise and applications support to new and existing cell therapy customers, while supporting the sales process within an assigned geographic region or limited product segment. This person may need to provide pre-sale product demonstrations as well as local post-sale customer service activities such as troubleshooting, complaint management, and problem solving, to support cell therapy business in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support during sales process by demonstrating full range of Cell Therapy Technologies (CTT) product features including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers as needed

  • Assist sales or commercial team in identifying and qualifying customer opportunities, needs, determine technical feasibility of custom technical requests and process optimization

  • Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing CTT product demonstration and promotion

  • Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing and customer service strategies

  • Provides scientific or technical training support to internal field associates.

  • Identifies, reports and solves complex and/or unusual customer problems together with APAC Field Application Scientist.

  • Documents and provides written solutions to recurring problems.

  • Performs ongoing market assessment of CTT customers' technical needs and problems.

  • Analyzes cell therapy trends in the marketplace, and communicates to necessary departments.

  • Provides detailed input/feedback to APAC Field Application Scientist to recommend changes in product design, manufacturing, quality, or any other aspect of the product or service, based on voice of customer.

  • Supports field sales initiatives by solving complex and/or unusual technical problems.

  • Interacts as a field expert with other functional areas of the company to develop a thorough exchange of planning and information.

  • Transfers knowledge of cell therapy clinical needs and processes to other areas of the company, i.e. sales, marketing, research and development and others.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent of education in Medical Technology, Life Sciences, Cell biology, Biomedical Science or Biomedical Engineering required.

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in the lab and sales functions

  • Strong presentation skills desired (public speaking and customer facing experience preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and present complex material in understandable terms

  • Demonstrated interpersonal & communication skills (ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to external customers, global counterparts and to team members in other functional organizations)

  • There will be around 50% travelling in this position.
